Its best-known jig is the Long Contact, a long, center-balanced jig that Ocean’s Legacy says works for “faster action pitches” and for “slow pitch in fast moving current situations.” It sits alongside the shorter Hybrid Contact, which the company says can be “jigged slow and high pitch styled or speed jigging,” and the heavy Deep Contact, made for water of 300 m and beyond.

Ocean’s Legacy says it was “born from humble backyard beginnings in 2017” and built on “years of real on-the-water experience.” Its slogan is “Tuned To Perfection.” The company doesn’t name its founders or give a street address on the pages we read.
For US buyers, Ocean’s Legacy runs a separate US web store with “stock held and shipped directly from within the USA,” which the company says avoids duties and import fees. Ocean’s Legacy describes the Long Contact as “centre weighted” with “specially designed eyes and rear ridge glow grooves to provide superior action to entice demersal and pelagic species.” It’s “sleek styled to provide fast descent yet enticing to the fish,” and finished with “ultra UV coating.” The heavier sizes are the ones that matter for offshore Florida.

The Hybrid Contact is Ocean’s Legacy’s shorter all-rounder. It uses the same eye and glow-groove design, and the company says it “is able to be jigged slow and high pitch styled or speed jigging.” In the US it comes “pre-rigged with Ocean’s Legacy Stinger Twin Assist Hooks.”

Deep Contact

The Deep Contact is the heavy one. Ocean’s Legacy says it was “created to reach the desired depth faster whilst providing excellent action to entice all deep water species,” with a “special blue glow pattern which we believe increase the bite rate for deep water species.” The US listing adds three rear glow ridges and says it’s built for high-current deep water of 300 m and beyond. Big Dog Tackle says it works for “high or slow pitch jigging in deep or high-current waters.”

Roven
Ocean’s Legacy’s Australian store also sells the Roven in 40–260 g (AUD $15.99–$31.99, unrigged) and the Roven Micro in 3–25 g. The company doesn’t publish a description of the full-size Roven on the pages we read. An Australian retailer describes the micro version as “a dedicated genuine micro pitch jig.” We didn’t find the full-size Roven on the US store.
Tungsten jigs
Ocean’s Legacy doesn’t make a tungsten jig. We checked the jigging lures on its Australian store and the full product list on its US store. The Long Contact, Mini Long Contact, Hybrid Contact, Deep Contact, Roven and Micro Roven are the only jigs, and none is listed as tungsten or “TG.” We found no announcement of a tungsten model.
Tungsten or lead? Ocean’s Legacy answers the depth problem with weight and shape instead of tungsten. The Long Contact is slim and fast-sinking, and the Deep Contact goes up to 1,100 g ($57.99 on the US store). For deep drop water off Florida that is a far cheaper way to reach bottom than a tungsten jig, but the profile will be bigger than a tungsten jig of the same weight.

Fishing Ocean’s Legacy jigs off Florida
The Long Contact is a long, fast-sinking jig. That’s its strength in the Gulf Stream and in strong Gulf currents, where a wide flat-fall jig gets pushed off the bottom. Expect less glide than a true flat-fall jig, and work it with shorter, sharper pitches.
- Current first. Use the Long Contact when the drift is fast and a flat-fall jig won’t hold bottom.
- Deep Contact for deep drop water. At 400 g and up it reaches the depths Florida anglers fish for snowy grouper and tilefish, but it needs a stout slow pitch rod and your own assists.
- Glow grooves. All three Contact jigs carry glow ridges at the tail, useful in low light at depth.
- Hook check. Ocean’s Legacy doesn’t publish assist hook sizes. Check them against your target before you drop.

Ocean’s Legacy makes honest, well-priced jigs that lean toward speed and current rather than a lazy flat fall.
